Four Upcoming Book Events

BERWICKSHIRE BOOK EVENT — WEDNESDAY 27 SEPTEMBER 2023 — FOGO PARISH CHURCH

The Berwick Literary Festival and Fogo Church have invited me to give a pre-festival talk at the lovely Fogo Parish Church, south of Duns, which has a thousand years of history.


HADDINGTON BOOK EVENT — THURSDAY 5 OCTOBER 2023 — HOLY TRINITY CHURCH

The Lamp of Lothian Trust, with the support of Kesley's Bookshop, has invited me to give a talk as part of its series of book events at Holy Trinity Church on 5 October.

The Lamp does a terrific job in and around Haddington to provide creative space for East Lothian and to support a wide range of cultural, artistic and social activities.


DUNDEE BOOK EVENT — WEDNESDAY 11 OCTOBER 2023 — UNIVERSITY OF DUNDEE

The Abertay Historical Society has invited me to give a talk at the University of Dundee as part of its winter series of events.

The Society was formed to encourage the study of local history in Dundee, Angus, Perthshire and Fife.


PERTH BOOK EVENT — THURSDAY 12 OCTOBER 2023 — ST JOHN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, PRINCES STREET, PERTH

A talk has been arranged at St John's Episcopal Church, Perth, where John Grant of KIlgraston was a member of the vestry and his daughter, Mary, modelled the panels on the pulpit. She was one of the earliest, female professional sculptors and her many sitters included HM Queen Victoria. This talk will begin at 7-15pm (doors open at 6-30 pm).
