BOOK EVENTS

After a very successful series of talks I now have a break until January.

Talks were given at some lovely and well-filled venues: Fogo Church under the auspices of the Berwick Literary Festival; Holy Trinity Church, Haddington for Lamp of Lothian; St John’s Kirk, Perth; The University of Dundee’s Dalhousie Building for Abertay Historical Society; and St Catherine’s Hall, Blairgowrie for Bookmark, where I was “in conversation” about the book with Magnus Linklater.

I received an unexpected invitation to give a talk in Perth about the three Grant brothers, John, Francis and Hope, to a group of writers about early golf history and, following that event, I am looking forward to giving a talk at the R&A World Museum of Golf at St Andrews in April.

Other confirmed events in 2024 will be at Horncliffe, Northumberland on 15 January; Old Scone Parish Hall on 18 March; and the New Club, Edinburgh on 21 March.
